Who We Are

Peter Lipsham, draughtsman, orchardist and wood whisperer, showed an early interest in architecture that developed into a career lasting 15 years. At that point, a swerve hard left saw Peter and his wife Yvonne purchasing the family orchard in the foothills of the Waitakere Ranges. After 40 years of orcharding, Peter has finally claimed the time to follow his abiding passion for shaping wood to reveal its hidden magic. The old packing shed that once sustained generations of fruit processing has been repurposed as a workshop for the production of one-off coffee tables, side tables, platters, boards and other creations, handcrafted from New Zealand’s native woods and exotic timbers. Always on the hunt for new approaches, Peter employs a variety of woods and techniques. Sometimes utilising macrocarpa found on the orchard, he is constantly experimenting with resins to see how far he can take them.
